Whenever you see the photo the Magellan’s Cross, you think of Cebu City. Magellan’s Cross was erected by the Portuguese explorers when they arrived on April 21, 1521. It was named after their lead explorer, Ferdinand Magellan, or Fernando de Magallanes in Spanish.
According to Department of Tourism’s 2009 first quarter data, Cebu is number one in tourist arrivals both by local and foreign. Boracay only comes second.
Surely, you’ll miss Cebu all the more especially to those used to date at Fuente Osmena, hahaha. This was shot in December of 2008, and really captures the magical atmosphere of Cebu. It’s a wonderful place that I’m sure holds many precious memories for people.
