Cebu City Aerial View in 1938

This aerial view of our beloved Cebu City was taken before World War II in 1938.

I hope I could ride a chopper or airplane or make that buy my own helicopter or airplane and take photos of Cebu City in a similar view hahaha.

There a few structures and spots that i could notice are still existing today.

The factory-like buildings on the lower right of the photo is Aduana, i’m pretty sure of that.

The visible long strip of street located near the middle of the photo is Osmeña Boulevard.

The bald mountain was one of the reason why the Spanish administration left Cebu for Manila.

That same denuded mountain is main culprit of the flooding in Cebu City these days. Got worst by real estate developers by putting up subdivisions. Good thing Mayor (now Congressman) Tomas Osmeña intervened and stopped the construction.
