I found these vintage photos from random places of the then young Cebu City. Will visit the museum so i could get more old Cebu City pictures, the ones below i just snatched from the internet.
Credits to whoever originally got these old Cebu picures!
Cebu City Railway
Mango Avenue – this is why the present Mango Avenue is as such it was because of the mango trees at the sides.
Calle North America – No idea where this was. I’ve searched the internet, but could find any info about this street.
Hotel de Cebu – No information.
Metro Cebu Cathedral
Fuente Osmeña – The white building in the left background is Cebu Capitol.
University of the Philippines Cebu Administration Building. (corrected, previously: Cebu Capitol – Two vintage cars parked.).
The Cebu Capitol Building in 1938.
Cebu City Public Library.
NICE PHOTOS… WHERE DID YOU GET ALL OF THIS?
I got these from my ex officemate who is also into photography. Pero dili ko sure if these are his original shots.

Naa ko’y nabasahan nga article about Calle Norte America, it’s now D. Jakosalem street. if it helps, refer to http://www.bisayabulletin.com/ColonSt.html. nalipay ko gatan-aw sa gilapdon sa mga dalan sa karaan. it means the city engineers really meant for the streets to be wide, unlike now. nalingaw ko sa mga photos. i only could wish i kept those owned by my grandfater, he had a lot of pictures of old cebu.
Wow, thanks for the link Eve, those are really good.
